So, Mason has been gone for a whopping 33 hours now (but who is
counting?) and has been in England for about 24 hours. His flight left
Salt Lake at 11:00 a.m. to Atlanta, and from Atlanta he went to
Manchester, England. His flight landed in England about 8:30 a.m., but
it was 1:30 a.m. here at home. We got an e-mail from him early this
morning with not a lot of information, but at least we know he made it
to the MTC safely!
Here is the message we got . . .
Hey mom, everything went well. We had a pretty big group going to Atlanta then we met up with two more missionaries going to England and we arrived safe and sound - and the girl we saw on Instagram was with us. She ended up getting her visa just before we left. And another one of the sisters here is from Vegas but she went to Ridgcrest and recognized me - her name is Sister Powley. Everything is going good here so far. P-days are Wednesday so I'll talk to you more then. Love and miss you guys.
We were all kind of a mess at the airport. Mason was pretty cool and collected until our final good-byes and then he finally broke down, too. It was definitely one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life, but I guess we wouldn't want him anywhere else!! Here are some pictures from yesterday . . . and I thought I was doing okay but looking at these pictures has brought it all back. Crying . . . again!
